Volume one 'Between the Valley and the Sea' began with a wistful tale of childhood in south-west Auckland, before sealed roads, electricity and suburbia brought 'progress'. The story continued in 'Between the Morning and the Afternoon' where the author took the first, formative steps in his long career in education.

This final volume encompasses almost half a century of life in a world that has moved so far, so fast.
