Knowing God the Father Through the Old Testament by Christopher J.H. Wright

With this volume, Chris Wright brings to completion his trilogy "Knowing Jesus Through The Old Testament" and "Knowing The Holy Spirit Through The Old Testament". The central thesis is that the faith that Jesus expressed and embodied can only be truly understood if we grasp how it developed. The knowledge of God is one of the truly immense themes of the Old Testament - challenging, frightening, yet intimate and personal. Jesus, steeped in the awe of the Hebrew scriptures as he was, could also address God as his father. Chris Wright shows how we can find God as the Father, the just Judge, the source of love and grace, the conqueror and sovereign Lord.
