Lilies Amongst Thorns: Chinese Christians Tell Their Story Through Blood and Tears by Danyun

The author Danyun is a middle aged preacher serving God in the coastal province of Zhejiang. He is from a Christian family of several generations. Missionaries from the China Inland Mission laid the foundation of the work and the church has now grown to several hundred thousand believers. Several years ago the churches in Zhejian established fellowship with the churches in Henan and other northern provinces. Danyun was sent to work with them and was amazed at the stories he heard. He decided to take six months and travel from district to district interviewing in depth some of those whom God is using. Accounts of miracles or persecution were corroborated by others. After months of work eight manuscripts were translated into English. This book is the result. Danyun is today one of the key house church leaders in South China.
