The biography of John Coleridge Patterson, first Bishop of Melanesia, murdered in 1871 on the tiny atoll of Nukapu Atoll in the Western Pacific. Inspired by Bishop Selwyn's work he accompanied him to New Zealand where he worked with Maori before his appointment to the Western Pacific.
