Together Is All We Need by Michael Phillips

The story serves as the conclusion to the Shenandoah Sisters series (following The Color of Your Skin Ain't the Color of Your Heart). It follows the lives of two orphaned young women—one a former slave and the other a plantation owner's daughter—who have successfully kept their family plantation hidden and safe for over a year. However, they face sudden separation and the end of their dreams when their secret is exposed, forcing them to leave their home.
