Set at the turn of the century in Vienna, the story follows Toby Burgate, who falls in love with the city's rich art and music culture. However, the setting quickly transforms into a place of hatred and brutality for the Jewish community, forcing Toby to navigate his way toward compassion and survival amid the rising tension.
